Just thought I would cap of my bike riding lessons posts by making sure you knew that tomorrow (may 1) starts National Bike Month. As mentioned in the most recent issue of Relevant Magazine

Whether you’re a weekend-warrior cyclist, a recreational rider or a daily commuter, May is the time to raise awareness about your two-wheel passion. May 12-16 is Bike-to-Work Week, so if you’re into cycling, hit the road early, and show everyone why bikes still rule.

So I’ll be looking for other “bikers” next month and especially during BtWW. Hey, you’ll save some gas money.

stupid question: can anyone explain in simple terms how I should be changing gears? I recently realize that I use the same gear everytime I ride. What’s the point of changing gears anyway?
