Extreme Makeover Home Edition

We had a very cool opportunity today to visit the house that ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition is building  in Mobile.  Some people from our church are serving as the project manager’s for this particular build, and they invited us over today to see the house just before they handed the keys over to the ABC cast.  The house was really cool, surprisingly small, but really cool inside.  You’ll have to watch it to see what all they’ve done.

When you do watch the show, look for the massive big screen tv.  I helped carry that tv in today, and then for a reason beyond my understanding I was offered by a free massage by a local masseuse who was volunteering her time and talents for the workers.  Really, didn’t work hard enough to deserve that, but man it felt so good.

Its absolutely amazing to see the so many people come together for one common cause.   I wish we could see that kind of unified drive in the local church.

Tomorrow is move that bus day, I’m hoping Kristia will be able to go, while I stay home with the girls, Its her favorite show.  She got Ed’s autograph today and another designer that I dont’ know.

It was a really cool day.

Thanks Larry & Sharon for letting us be part even if just for a few minutes.

Small world! They actually did a make over in Farmville, VA of all places. That episode came out two weeks ago! Kristen and I were teaching so we didn’t get to go over, but it was neat seeing it when it aired.
