miracle

Tuesday – A lady comes to the office crying, almost uncontrollably.  Her daughter and son-in-law and three grandkids are living in China.  The youngest grandbaby is having seizures, and they are trying to determine the cause.  She felt so hopeless, and powerless, being here and them there.  She was needing a miracle a miracle of peace, and a miracle of healing for her grandbaby.

Wednesday – A young woman calls the office asking for a pastor to pray with her.  She’s single, a waitress, on a very small income.  She’s caring for her one year old nephew, while her sister serves a jail sentence.  She can’t pay the rent and is looking at eviction this Friday.  Imagine: a baby and no home.  We prayed.  I’m hoping we can help her somehow.   She needs a miracle.

Today – I have some things that have literally been keeping me up at nights, this week.  Personal issues, needs, concerns, that only God knows about.  Compared to a sick grandbaby or possible eviction, my needs seem so small and insignificant.  Still I need a miracle.

Would you help me pray for some miracles today?

What miracle has God done in your life?  It sure would be encouraging to hear right about now.

“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Wow…I believe God can answer every one of those prayers. And yes God has done a miracle for me recently. My grandfather has a massive anurism in the brain a few weeks ago and the Doctor did not believe he was going to make it and he said if by chance he did he would be paralyzed on the left side. So they were just waiting for all of the family to get there before they pulled the plug on him. Because my grandfather requested in his will that he not be living by a machine. As soon as i found out i dropped everything and left he lives in florida and I live in Louisiana. I let everyone I know, know about the situation so they could be praying. We had people praying in South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and only God knows where else. Before I even got there my mother said that my grandfather had some movement on command. It has been a few weeks since then and not only is he still alive but he is moving his left side as well. He is in a rehab clinic now. I told God only the way there to florida that day that I knew my Grandfather has lived a long life and he has done many things in his life. He also is an amazing man of God. So I told him if He wanted to take my grandfather it would be o.k. God knew my heart and he knew I wanted my granfather to live. He knows I look up to my grandparents as spiritual leaders in my life. I know now that God does listen to prayers and He does look into our hearts. I believe my grandfather is going to have full recovery. I’m sorry that was long, but it was the first thing I thought of when you asked if God has done any miracles in my life lately. God is our healer, protector, savior, father, and many other things. He is all knowing and He is everywhere at once. He still does miracles!

A miracle, is a fortuitous event believed to be caused by interposition of divine intervention by a supernatural being in the universe by which the ordinary course and operation of Nature is suspended, or modified.

    Okay let’s simplify that . . .

Miracles happen every second of every day. A miracle for one person may be something as simple as a bird’s song, a child’s laughter or a rainbow. Sometimes people look too hard and feel that they are ignored or they don’t feel they are understanding what God has given them as strongly as others.

Miracles are what you believe them to be. The word miracle is derived from the Latin word miraculum meaning “something wonderful”. Tell me you can’t look back on today and say that you haven’t seen or heard of “something wonderful”. Those are your miracles too! In today’s fasted paced world sometimes the answers to your prayers are the simplest but the hardest to see, you just need to stop trying so hard to find them as they will find you.

Remember you have the miracle of His love and that love you share with your beautiful family.
